INTRODUCTION

Hi. I would like to first off introduce myself!
I am Archive, and i have been on pony town since November 25th of 2022.
I will use I/Me/Us/Our pronouns.
We will be talking about my experience on pony town and it's community since the 4 years of being on this platform.
But i would like to underline the words MY EXPERIENCE. This will not feature anyone else, and it is solely the things i have seen/come to know over this game. And if more, i would encourage other people to write their own evaluation on this game as well. It would help bring a lot of awareness to some of the cons of this community and the game as well as the mods themselves.

COMMUNITY EXPERIENCES

FIRST TIME JOINING

When we first joined this game, they didnt have different pattern selections or the variety of leg accessories. There werent custom colors for objects, nor were there towels. Most of the things they added now werent there before.
The community was much more nicer but still there were bad apples then and there. Our first fandom to join was the hazbin hotel area, Which is the one right below spawn and next to the sign you see. Pony town has a lot of people who are in friend groups, or as you say, big friend groups. Most of these friend groups very rarely accept new people, which is possibly one of the many cons that will be mentioned throughout this evaluation.
This was one of our experiences, and this friend group was rude and would ghost me. So eventually i stopped trying.
We soon just moved onto a different fandom because there are a lot of fandom areas you can find. You could do this by asking someone who has been in the game long enough and knows their way around the map. Thats also how we got introduced to different fandoms.

FRIEND GROUPS

Pony town has a lot of people who are in friend groups. If you click on someone's github link, 6 out of the 10 people you find will have a bunch of friends in their bios. There are also people who have their friend groups underlined in these github bios.
I never had a good first hand experience with friend groups. Ive been left out and ignored most of the time, as well as never really been accepted. Even if i did, most of the time me talking felt like i was interrupting a serious conversation. The silence afterwards that was what made me really uncomfortable because no one would really bother to say anything to fill it in either. And it contrasts with the social point of pony town. It really isnt social if most of these people rather talk and be all friendly with those only in their friend group. It just gives a wrong reputation to the game and the newcomers who want to enjoy making friends, especially if they cant do this in real life.

REGIMENTS/REGISCOUTS

Before i start ranting, i will first explain what a regiment/regiscout is to those who might not know.
A regiment is a large military unit typically made up of several battalions and commanded by a colonel.
Meanwhile regiments are more serious groups, regiscouts hold patrols and line-ups in the safe server.

One thing that i want to say is that regiments mock militaries. Even if you deny this, you can tell that it is factual by searching up the term "regiment" which is the word thats used for foundational military units.
I did not join regiments or regiscouts. I do not have a first-hand experience with them but i do have a half-assed experience of them. These regiments usually sit by and advertise at docks, which is a place mostly used for advertising different sort of things. I think that regiments/regiscouts are not important to the game and do nothing but cause more ruckus in the game. One ive tried to join was really complicated to navigate, although this may be only for some several regiments. There are groups which steal regiment/regiscout uniforms, that is actually prohibited (within their own terms) and might get you blacklisted from their servers or reported to pony town. I think this is childish, as copying is normal in a game with free pony customization and limited patterns + hair selections. And even so, i hereby want to say that some of these regiments are sensitive. I will stand by my own opinion, you can come to terms with YOUR own PERSONAL OPINION.

PROTREE

If you dont know, the protree is a tree where you see when you take the road from marketplace to docks.

This is called and known as the protree because proshippers and darkshippers sit here.
info Proshippers, which is the new term for anti-harassment means that they are against any harassment even though the fictional ships might be taboo/unhealthy.
Darkshippers are people who ship things like minor x adult, rapist x victim, sibling x sibling, etc.

The people that sit here are some of the most disgusting people ive known to mankind. There is a lot of controversy involving them, and i will come out to say that we used to sit here once. These people are often very backhanded and hypocritical. During our experience sitting here, we only felt welcome with one person which wont be named for safety purposes. Yes, these people get daily death threats but that is their fault. They are exposing kids to disgusting and weird content which is linked in their githubs. Here are some of their excuses to keep defending their own actions; "Parents' fault" "The kids know what is wrong or right" "It's a coping mechanism".
All of these excuses and similiar can be debunked with a few google searches and videos. If you search up "kids crashing out over video games", you might find kids along the age of 5 or younger than this. I am sorry to say, but in a pony game that looks like it is intended for kids WILL get the attraction of kids. Even roblox does.
I hereby dont care what you ship. But i will not stand with these freaks and defend them if kids get exposed to your disgusting coping mechanism or fetish. There is a radqueer sitting at this tree, and 2 predators already have been outed from their "safe space". It is not safe if you guys are advertising free pedophilia in means of calling it "fiction". And half of the pony town mods these people suck up to do not give a single shit about child safety. If they did, now they dont. Please stop ignoring this tree and bring more attention to the damage it can cause to children. If the mods do not speak about it or ban it, then at least we should bring it to the light.

COMMUNICATION

Most people ive noticed in this game have an awfully bad time communicating. Its not just making small talk, im saying just TALKING about their problems. Most personal problems and drama just go public and other people get nosy and start shit talking said people. Please stop doing this. Please QUIT making your personal issues a public issue, let alone making a doc or any of the sorts for it. Things can be sorted with a few texts sometimes. And i am so tired of people blocking you or unfriending you without a word. It often feels like you did something wrong or just said something wrong. Also one of the huge cons of this community, and i am surprised nobody is talking about it.

I HATE this community. Words cant my express hatred towards this community. There are ABLEISTS, TRANSPHOBES, fucking WEIRDOS who ship incest and minors and go "ohhh im not proship!!!" just say you are a FUUUCKING weirdo man. People who cant talk stuff out for shit, friend groups who have their friends hide you when you did nothing to their friends in general. EVERYONE that is PARASOCIAL and ANTISOCIAL irl are playing this game. You guys DONT KNOW how to treat people, DONT KNOW how to be treated, and call anything close to serious like oh lets say someone is getting harassed!! YALL GO AND SAY "omg drama" like go fuck yourselves omg i fucking hate all of you except the people who started this game recently.

GAME EXPERIENCES

SUPPORTER

There are different categories to which you can get banned for, if you saw in the menu.
Alt accounts are something that every pony uses. If not 9 out of the 10 people use it, 4 out of the 10 people do. This is because of the supporter in which people can not afford and do not wish to. You can buy a game for 5 dollars on steam alone.
It is really expensive. 29 dollars for a tier 4 is outrageous. You get 150 slots now, if you are a new starter without any supporter. Tier 1 gives you 100 (+150 = 250). I do not know how much tier 1-3 is worth, but i do know that tier 4 is 29 dollars with tax. That is really expensive alone for someone living in the usa, and even more for someone not living in usa. Most of the devs dont do anything useful to their game. Maybe bringing a better moderation instead of the current garbage one or actually adding useful stuff to the people who play the game so its more fun. Most they have added till now are towels, 3-5 hair accessories and making face pattern varieties (like 9), custom colors for objects and adding a few objects. Thats all they did in the span of 1 and half a year.
TLDR; mods and devs dont do shit for the community except useless updates.

BYPASS

You can bypass certain curse words with different symbols and languages. But what makes me mad is that you can bypass a permanent ban alone. We had tier 3, and our alt account had tier 3 as well. We got caught and pony town merged our accounts and just gave us a 3 day suspension. This is solely because we paid for the tier 3, and yes using alts are forbidden in pony town.
You can basically bribe pony town, which is one of the biggest flaws and nobody would mention this without getting into the topic alone.

MODERATION

Mods dont do jackshit in safe server. A lot of pdfs roam freely, and they also have evidence against them, yet they continue to not give a single shit. I dont know if its because there is only 1 mod but in russian safe theres maybe 5 mods? Might not be up to date, please do look it up yourself if i am wrong because i am uncertain.

CONCLUSION

Pony town fucking sucks. This game is trash, the community is trash and even the pt team is GARBAGE. I do not recommend playing unless you have friends to play it with, only then is it fun.

Also im repeating myself, I WOULD APPRECIATE IF MORE PEOPLE MADE AN EVALUATION ON PONY TOWN THEMSELVES. I personally would love to read them, but this just might be me lmao

Yes i will keep playing this game, because i love making ponies and i love hanging out with my friends.
