OVERVIEW

Ava is the manager and composer for the online music group Unyielding Darkness. She is 17 years old and a zombie.

BACKGROUND

Ava was born to a single woman who contracted a rare disease, causing her to be born as a zombie. Her mother was disgusted at this, and from the moment Ava was born she closed off her heart to her. She emotionally abused and neglected Ava. This caused Ava to have a very poor self image of herself. She strived for her mother's validation, trying hard in school, but her mother never paid her any attention. Furthermore, Ava was also severely bullied, especially in her elementary school years.

When Ava was 15, her mother left the house, telling her that she had no more use for her.

After her mother's departure, Ava began to feel scared of humans. She found them hard to read and unpredictable. She did not understand why they behaved one way while telling you another. She started to become disconnected from them, developing a serious case of anthropophobia. It became so bad to the point where she isolated herself away from them, not going outside unless it was absolutely necessary. She used the internet as a means of escape because she felt the only way she could ever interact or empathize with others was through a screen.

One day, while scrolling, Ava saw a bunch of posts about bands who had formed together and were now best friends. She began to wonder if that could ever be her someday. She began to feel inspired and advertised a lot of posts on her own socials asking if anyone wanted to be in a music group with her. Secretly, though, she organized the group as a way to interact with humans and get to know them, because she figured that humans loved to communicate their true feelings through song.

Ava has a big secret from her past as a child, and is quite ashamed of it. She is terrified of the other band members finding out.

PERSONALITY

Ava is lethargic and introverted. She is lacking in strong emotions and it is very hard to properly upset or surprise her. She is generally inexpressive, as she considers emotions another part of human mannerisms that make no sense to her. She considers a lot of things in her life unimportant and is not easily motivated. However, if she is interested or inspired enough, she is able to achieve whatever she wants within a minimal amount of practice or experience. She is rather blunt, almost to the point of cruelty. However, she is not inherently unkind, and if she recognizes another member is struggling, she will offer consolation in her own way.

She is extremely closed off to the other members of the group, and when asked of her own opinions, she often says she does not know or care. Although she is the leader and main composer, she is not bossy or demanding and usually lets the other members take the fore during conversations or practices. She prefers to listen. Ava does not have a schedule for herself except when it comes to her music, because she finds it unnecessary if she never goes out anyways. When she is not composing, she is usually sleeping or scrolling the internet.

Ava does not have a high opinion of herself, and she is always pushing herself to work harder and be better. When she is working on something, she often loses all sense of time until something snaps her out of it (e.g. she is hungry, sleepy, etc). Ava also does not like when attention is centered on her, so at first she is a little wary of recording or filming their music, but she gradually begins to adjust. She is extremely clumsy, and is prone to tripping or knocking over things. She does not like asking for help and will often try to research how to solve a problem herself, no matter how difficult.

Ava manages the group's social medias whenever she can. She is fond of sweet things, such as fruit and pastries. Even though she is fairly good at cooking, she finds it a bore and a waste of time. Being a zombie means she does not need as much nutrition as humans, and so she is usually content eating on-the-go food or bento boxes. Her room is also very messy and disorganized, but she has no interest in tidying it.

APPEARANCE

Ava is 5'4" and very slim. She has dull green skin that is stiched together on various parts on her body. Some areas are also patching in a dull brown. She has dark brown hair that is very long. She expresses no desire to cut it. Her bangs are also untidy, and fall in her face a lot. She has round, brown eyes.

Since Unyielding Darkness rarely performs publicly, Ava's outfits are usually very simple. Oversized T-shirts, basketball shorts, or sweatpants usually. She does not care for things such as fashion or makeup. She has a sweet voice, very quiet but pure.

Ava owns an electric synthesizer and keyboard. She also has a PC with some music-making apps. All of her devices have never been customized, not even the homescreen.

Ava likes the water. She keeps an aquarium in her bedroom and she loves when it rains. She doesn't see the point in traveling out to the beach though.

Ava does not understand a lot of things such as idioms, figures of speech, or sarcasm. She thinks this is another part of human behaviors that are useless, because if you want to say something, you should just say it.

Ava is extremely good at gaming, and her favorite types of games are FPS and gacha games. She is also rather popular online, running a Twitter account with nearly 10k followers. She finds this ironic as she is asocial in the real world.

Ava does not know or remember her last name. She is also not even sure if she is actually 17, but neither of these things are important to her.

Ava's favorite type of music is visual kei, j-metal, and bubblegum bass/hyperpop.

Ava can pop her left eyeball out on command. It is also prone to falling out on its own sometimes.
