Lucifer's Yap Section: Okay so, I HC Avery to be born from an american mother and a british father but he is basically a bastard (born out of wedlock) so his father always disliked him as an "illegitimate heir" after taking him back to Britain. So Avery lived his whole life without a mother, and his father was a pain in the ass to him. After that incident in his childhood, it basically reshaped his mind and he started to realize how shitty his father is. When he became an adult, he ran away from home to prove to his father that he can live without his money and that he needs nobody. Surprisingly, it works out for him and he manages to become a successful businessman. Fast forward, while he is in his 40s, he meets Lucifer (my DoLsona!) and he sees something special in him before they eventually start dating. Yaaay! Avery struggles to love "like a normal person" but he tries his best for Lucifer, buying the younger one gifts and picking him up when he needs a ride to home. Despite the moments where he lashes out at Lucifer, Avery still loves his partner deeply and feels thankful that someone can "handle" him.
