Friends to lovers, mutual pining, action girlfriend, everyone can see it. We met in high school and became best friends, and eventually fell in love somewhere along the way. Now we're both annoyingly in love with each other and everyone has to hear about it. She's Hawkeye, I'm just a normal person who's basically her biggest supporter. I go to her missions (somewhat), listen to her ramble, and enable her bullshit. We're best friends first and girlfriends second, and we're both extremely annoying about it.

Dismissing a compliment, declaration of protection, dying declaration of love, God couple, forbidden love. We're both Loki variants and met in the TVA. At first we kept crossing paths, teaming up for missions, causing problems, and arguing over who was the more competent and better Loki (it's him, no doubts). The weird thing is that despite both being Lokis, we're completely different people. He's dramatic, clever, and very Loki, while I'm somehow the least Loki-like Loki imaginable. I think we understood each other pretty quickly because we're both Loki's and deep down have the same blueprints. There's a level of trust and familiarity there that doesn't really exist with anyone else. We spent so much time working together that we accidentally became each other's favorite person. Somewhere between the mischief, we fell in love without really noticing. Neither of us is good at romance. We can handle the timelines collapse but genuine feelings? Absolutely not. Compliments are met with awkward silence and immediate subject changes. We mostly just continue being partners in crime and pretend we aren't hopelessly attached to each other. She ended up sacrificing themself for me, choosing to hold the timelines together so everyone could live. She'd rather be trapped there for eternity, completely alone, than have me be the one who disappears. They eventually learn how to multitask being *present* with holding the timelines, and we end up together regardless.

Give geeks a chance, forgotten first meeting, first love, fate drives us together, isolation induced infatuation. We already knew each other during the Petrova Taskforce, working on the whole ... the sun is dying and we're all probably fucked ... situation. We were friends, but never romantically interested in each other. I was on the Hail Mary too, but unlike Ryland, I stayed in a coma until we reached Erid. The Eridians ended up waking me, meaning Ryland went from thinking he was completely alone to suddenly having another human sitting there with him. Because of the amnesia, he was a complete stranger to me, but being the only two humans around made us incredibly close, incredibly fast. After everything we'd been through, being separated just didn't really make sense anymore. We're both aroace, so it's not exactly a traditional romance. We're more like life partners who became each other's person because, well, who else were we supposed to have? We have basically built our entire lives around each other.
