yuya, as a child, was always interesting in dj-ing. she would watch other djs, go to concerts, all of it. at 17 years old, she wanted to impress her younger self by making her own music, buying a dj set, and achieve her goal of becoming a popular music artist. so, in her slightly messy apartment, she pirates fl, saves up to buy a dj set, and starts practicing her skills. the one question is: what music does she want to try and make? she scrolls through her playlists from years ago, seeing what she was interested in back then. she gives a listen and.... holy shit, this music sucks. "what was i listening to back when i was a kid? this is ass," she thinks to herself. fuck trying to make something nice, lets try putting three more distorter plugins on this kick drum! after hours and hours of making, struggling, breaking keycaps and replacing them, she finally makes her first song. and.... its.. also ass. "what the fuck? this is also ass! aaaghhhh!!" no worries, practice makes perfect, right? a few less distortions later, and... its slightly better. still ass, but its better. weeks, months, even a year goes by, she practices, shockingly tries studying music theory, and does so much to perfect her music. about 500 "get off fl studio and go outside"s later, she finally makes something she likes. but.. what now? maybe she wants to perform? release her music to the public? who knows? then it hit her: recently, people in her area were grouping together and making music groups. why doesnt she do that too? so, she forms distorted bass, and waits for people to be interested. maybe she should advertize? who knows! what if she releases her music? she could also do that too. after opening soundcloud on her pc, the option for a display name pops up. shoot, she needs a display name. what should her dj name be? dj... no, to basic. miss... hell no, too formal. should it just be her name? no, also too basic. then it hits her: a simple play on words would work! she decides on the name yuu*tan. cute, isn't it? (btw this is an active wip i add onto this whenever i feel like it)
