a. Markbox Claim Guidelines

When filing a reclaim, you must abide by the following guidelines:

  1. Entries are not claimable if they've been edited within the past 6 months. This is a rule enforced by the website itself, do not attempt to circumvent this via reports. We will deny you.
  2. Entries are not claimable if they appear to have a fair amount of effort put into them (this is obviously subjective, however our basis is if it takes more than 15 minutes, it is valid content)
  3. Entries are not claimable if they are on a randomly generated slug, why would you even want it.
  4. Within your reclaim, you must include your plans for the slug and the current content of said slug. This is all that matters to our process.
  5. We will not be accepting reclaims for NSFW slugs (as of January 28th, 2026). This includes slugs relating to drugs or sexual content.
  6. Try to avoid rambling about irrelevant things in your claim, one or two sentences is all we really need. This simply clogs up our process, and can take reclaims hours to go through.
  7. Do not include information that is irrelevant to our process such as how much you love said character, how this is your dream slug, begging admins or mentioning how you had the url on another site, therefore want it here. We do not care, we are here to do a job.
  8. Do not threaten or demean anybody in your request. This includes the current owner of the slug you are trying to reclaim, and admins.
  9. Be polite! We are human beings too. If you go into your reclaim simply demanding for a URL, or without even recognizing the person doing it as a human, we will likely deny your request. Remember, this is a privilege not a right.
  10. In relation to the previous rule, do not be overly excitable in your request. We are not your friends, we are simply people doing a job. We do not need media recommendations, nor do we want them.
  11. If you're found abusing the claims system, your ability to file claims will be removed

b. Wait, what counts as abuse of the reclaims system?

  1. Submitting multiple requests in one week for the same slug, from the same account.
  2. Using alternative accounts to circumvent this and attempting to "increase your chances", or to circumvent the reclaim limit (one reclaim every 8 hours) on accounts.
  3. Filing reclaims simply to hoard them, for trading or to never use them at all.
  4. Reclaiming slugs to then copy/paste content. While this can be subjective, we define it as; if we are able to trigger high contrast mode and there is little to no discernable difference between the slugs, it is copy pasted. This only counts for copy/pasted content on site; e.g, someone can have the same decoration on Rentry and Fluffle, for the same url.
  5. A reclaim going through, and then immediately submitting more requests despite the original one not being decorated or used.
  6. Creating low-effort claims that are simply made to match the character limit; even if this includes your plans and the content, it will be denied. If you care about a paste, you can be polite.
  7. Transferring reclaimed pastes to another account immediately once the admin transfer has gone through. This is in relation to B-2, and both accounts will be banned from reclaims if found to be the case.
  8. Not reading the guidelines to their full extent, and therefore going against them in some capacity.

c. How to file a reclaim?

You can find the claim button in the user menu (top left) when viewing any entry (while signed into your Shrimpcamp account).
From that menu, you'll find the "Claim" button around the halfway point, just above the "Report" button.

On the claim page, you can click the button at the bottom to file your claim. If there is no button, the entry was likely edited too recently and cannot be claimed. Some entries with lower changes will have their reclaim dates earlier than others.

In the claim form, you must leave the title as it is and enter your request in the "Content" box. Make sure you read the guidelines thoroughly, as we cannot help you if you do not.

d. So how do I format my reclaim?

Good question! Here's a few examples to get you started;

Valid examples of a reclaim; - These would be accepted!

Invalid examples of a reclaim; - These would be denied.
