Inferno is quite the odd one. He was born and raised in the underworld with a strict and negligent father who wouldn't spare a chance to judge Inferno on every last detail that didn't his view on how he should be— unfortunately for Inferno's father , he was everything but. Since he was a child , he was fascinated with humankind ; he would obsess over the items that his kin had brought to hell from their previous lives , gaze at people living their daily lives through hidden rifts that connected the worlds , and would talk anyones ear off if they mention anything remotely related to humans. Of course , this upset his father greatly , his breaking point being when Inferno dared to show even a sliver of compassion for a small , human girl he had mentioned when talking about his findings when he had been people watching. Angrily , he ordered Inferno gone , banishing him to Earth as both punishment and a lesson as to why he shouldn't of ever shown interest in humanity at all.
When Inferno was banished to Earth , he shunned himself away , only his ever growing hatred of himself , his father , and humanity keeping him company. Sometimes , the misery was too much to handle and he would take his anger out on passersby , ranging from petty insults to even sometimes minor injuries. After a month of this behavior , something came to him and made him realize that this behavior is what his dad wanted ; he wanted Inferno to feel regret , to hurt what he loved most. So , just overnight , he switched up completely , going from hurting humans to trying to show as much compassion as he could for them , even at his own and other's expenses.
ok spoiler bc i dont want to write it all down into a giant story rn uh. inferno creates voltage to bond with other humans because he feels guilty for being a piece of shit but then quite a few non humans end up joining rhe band which leads inferno to be afraid of his nonhuman bandmates due to prev trauma of being bullied by his peers ( all demons ) so he avoids them / lashes out unintentionally while at the same time constantly trying to please the humans in voltage. over time , he learns to trust the nonhumans and eventually apologizes to everyone and idk. he starts to unlearn his black and white thibking too

Sometimes he dabbles in magic , but stays away from it because of how much it reminds him of Hell.

When he was a child , he learned to play the electric guitar after he found and rebuilt a broken one in a trashcan behind an alley.

He was very outcasted by his classmates , even the friendlier ones not bothering to get near him.

Sometimes late at night , he used to sneak into Earth and watch people from tall buildings ; he would always get in trouble if caught by his father.
